FREE MARC EMERY!!


On Monday May 10th, Marc Emery was ordered to surrender to Canadian officials and is now awaiting extradiction to the United States to face a 5 year prison term for selling seeds over the internet to purchasers in the US.

Marc Emery is currently imprisoned at the North Fraser pretrial centre in Vancouver, B.C. and is due to be sent to the US in the next 7 days.

Unlike the Canadian Penal system, the US Federal System requires a prisoner to serve over 85% of their prison sentence and one is only granted 56 days a year "good time" for good behaviour.

At a time when the worlds economy is just now recovering from the Global Meltdown and markets in Europe are on the brink of disaster with Greece, Portugal & Spain not being able to maintain their current debt-loads, it is time to not only look at the many benefits of Marijuana as a MEDICINAL product but to look at the overall benefits of LEGALIZING IT and taxing this product that has been used for centuries and will be used for centuries more.

Marijuana is not going away anytime soon nor is it a "Gateway Drug" leading to other hard drugs, as some ignorant right-wing leaders think.

And to think that we in Canada were only one Sponsorship Scandal away from decriminalizing small amounts of marijuana. Damn Liberals!

1) Make a sign that says "America Must FREE MARC EMERY" and stand on a street corner for 2 hours this weekend.
2) Plan a protest where you live for SATURDAY, MAY 22 - the global "Free Marc Emery" rally. Information will be posted at www.CannabisCulture.com soon, so keep checking back for updates.
3) Go to www.NoExtradition.net for the list of "75 Things You Can Do to Free Marc Emery" and other important information and ways to help.
4) Vote against the Conservative Party in Canada and support the opposition parties. Donate to the candidate in your riding who is most likely to replace/defeat your Conservative Member of Parliament.
