DANIEL SULLIVAN: THE STAGE-INVADER WHO ATTACKED OASIS Sentenced to Conditional 12 Month sentence--Gets off easy.

Today in Toronto, Daniel Sullivan, the 48 year old married father of three boys was sentenced to 12 Months of Home Arrest for his stupid and brutal attack on Noel Gallagher of Oasis during their performance at the 2008 Toronto VirginFestival.

Mr. Sullivan was described as the "Quintessential 1st Offender" perhaps seeking his 15 minutes of fame by Judge Schneider who imposed the lenient sentence despite saying several times that this crime "warrants imprisonment."

The Crown Attorney's Office was clearly frustrated as they were seeking a Prison Sentence of between 6 to 9 months for this brutal attack that injured NOEL GALLAGHER quite seriously, breaking several of his ribs, forcing the cancellation of important Tour dates both in North American and in Europe, and side-lined the band when they were trying to capitalize on the release of a new album.

Momentum was lost, NOEL GALLAGHER was forced into a painful recovery and physiotherapy, and the band eventually broke-up most likely due to all the stress and pressure created by this situation.

Daniel Sullivan must not possess weapons, must have no contact with Noel Gallagher, refrain from alcohol and can only leave his residence for work, medical and dental appointments for the next 12 months.

The only words uttered by Daniel Sullivan today in court was "I would like to apologize to Noel Gallagher, his family and to this Court."

When contacted by CRUCIAL MATTERS this afternoon, NOEL GALLAGHER's representative was clearly upset and said that "Justice had not been done. Not only did this fuck ruin a North American Tour after years of working on a new album, but the JOHN LENNON effect of this incident is felt daily by Noel and his family. Street Justice would have been much more effective"
